Milano Design Week was the backdrop for the 2023 edition of the Best Packaging event, which named Gruppo Happy the winner in the “primary packaging solutions devised for the food sector” category, thanks to its APS – Air Passage System – tray.
Promoted by the Italian Institute of Packaging and sponsored by the Fondazione Carta Etica del Packaging (Packaging Ethical Charter Foundation), this year’s Best Packaging focused on the topic of Quality Design.
The reasons given by the jury, headed by Professor Valeria Bucchetti (coordinator of the Communication Design course at Milan Polytechnic University), for choosing our tray were as follows:
“ the design of the three-dimensional texturing of the base of the tray allows for air recirculation, offering important assistance to support the optimal retention of the food’s organoleptic characteristics, together with greater efficiency and simplification of packaging processes and reductions in the materials used.”
The event, hosted by the comedian and training expert Diego Parassole (who was accompanied on stage by the President of the Italian Institute of Packaging, Alessandra Fazio), was yet further recognition of our excellent results in the pursuit of solutions that can extend the shelf-life of food, reduce food waste and thus contribute to the environmental, social and economic sustainability of packaging itself.
