SUSTAINABILITY: this was the core topic of the workshop entitled “Circular Economy: Implementing a Sustainable Business Model for Value Creation”, which took place on 5 April 2023 at the Kilometro Rosso Innovation District.
Organised by EY in partnership with KM Rosso, the conference had three main focuses:
– Strategic definition of the model
– Possible implementation choices (repair, reuse, remanufacturing)
– Managing transformation: redesigning the product and the supply chain processes
Fabrizio Bernini, Head of R&D and communication at Gruppo Happy, gave a speech during the course of the conference recounting how the Group acts with awareness and is always at the forefront of the circular economy.
He therefore talked about the primary importance that packaging covers in preserving foodstuffs and, as a consequence, in preventing food waste, showing the Group’s flagship product, r-XPS, the first polystyrene tray to contain up to 50% post-consumer recycled product.
The audience showed great interest and involvement in a topic which is ever-more current and central to Gruppo Happy’s business model.
