How does RESPECT work?

  • FIRST STEP

    SURFACE TREATMENT OF THE EDGE

    In this first step, the edges of the tray are cleaned by means of a laser to prepare the perfect adhesion of the adhesive layer in the following step.

  • SECOND STEP

    ADHESIVE LAYER COATING

    Thanks to a special roller, the adhesive layer is deposited on the entire surface of the sealing edge of the tray and only in that area.

  • THIRD STEP

    ADHESIVE LAYER QUALITY CHECK

    The flatness of the layer is verified by means of a camera that, detecting the electromagnetic radiations in the form of violet light emitted by the special glue of the adhesive layer, guarantees a perfect tray-sealing.

  • FOURTH STEP

    PACKAGING SEALING

    The adhesive layer allows adhesion and perfect sealing with the main top seal films available on the market, at the same sealing temperatures of APET/PE trays, if not lower, even in the presence of exudates on the edge of the tray.

  • FIFTH STEP

    OPENING OF THE PACKAGE

    The smooth opening allows the end consumer to easily remove the top film and dispose of it separately from the tray in the dedicated waste container.

  • SIXTH STEP

    PACKAGING RECYCLING

    Optimal recycling can be guaranteed through the correct sorting of the tray and top film, together with the elimination of any eventual absorbent pad to obtain high-quality secondary raw material.

  • SEVENTH STEP

    REUSE

    The secondary raw material obtained (r-PET) can be reused for the creation of new trays, obtaining important advantages both in economic and environmental terms.
